    I use mine in the same fashion for the kitchen knives. It works great and the tomatoes run in fear!!

    Sometimes I'll even use the bottom side of my C12K to finish a kitchen knife after the DMT. Doing that will turn a cutting edge into a slicing edge, though, so it isn't something I do unless I have to cut up a bunch of meat.
