    You may need to reset the bevel even. Sounds like it's just not honed. Drop the pastes. Those things will hurt your honing.

    The only time i end up with rough edges is honing with uneven pressure, usually at the end I'm holding it... and I use a hard coticule, otherwise it feels like a butter knife against my skin, so its pretty easy to tell if I've messed up

    agree with everything above, the pastes might be cooking your edge, not used the ones mentioned but I've used TI white paste and crox and going over 5-10 laps will rough it up for me. I would hone without pastes as stated above and see how it goes
