I have begun shaving a simple one pass ATG. I have a light beard which erupts from the skin nearly parallel and my face is abrasion sensitive. Now I can shave twice a day(more time to play), it is quick, and an unintended consequence is how quickly it reveals the quality of my edges. Anything less than a stellar smooth razor will follow the hair to the skin and begin to dig in. I can shave test a lot of razors because it only take a fraction of an inch to reveal the nature of the razor.

This simple discovery has kicked my finishing technique farther up the ladder than anything else thus far. It allows me to try something strop the steel and feel the edge with great detail.
