Default I have no hair left on my arm...

... but I honed my first razor today!

I picked up a Torrey off the bay that was in actually decent shape. The scales need some work, but that's kind of irrelevant here. I set the bevel on a newly acquired Chosera 1K, took my time, and worked my way up a Naniwa pryamid on 5K/8K and finished on a 12K. Probably the most nervous I've been since my first shave, and am downright giddy with anticipation to shave with this on Sunday.

A huge thank you to Glen and all for the videos... especially the recent one of Speedster's first hone. Unbelievably helpful.

Good work, Jeremy! It's nice to find something that can make a grown man
giddy. When I got my last couple of EBay razors to hone up, I felt like a middle-school girl before a Justin Bieber
    concert waiting to test-shave them.
There are many roads to sharp.

Have faith in your work. .."And will you succeed? Yes indeed! Yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent..
You need not test. You'll know when it's right and then just use it!

I've got 2 or 4 more that I've picked up in the last few weeks that need honing as well, so I guess I'll have plenty of practice.

Most beginning honers suffer from 'razor mange.' I certainly did. IME as we gain experience we tend to let our arm and leg hair grow back and learn to use our thumb pad.

....or you just resign to the fact that you now look like a Sphynx cat and take up competitive swimming
