Thanked: 9mparker cuts through a sheet of paper. i have run the blade lightly on a match (soft wood). some backhoning laps on the 4K afterr this should get you back in the game (meaning you can hone again)
cheers

In the instances where I've developed a wire edge I got rid of it by taking a careful slice through thin cardboard. Then rehone.

If you suspect a wire edge it can be repaired with one stroke on each side, or pass if you will, on 4K or you can back hone. I prefer two backhoning passes on 8K myself. Then begin rehoning and use fewer passes between test shaves to ensure you don't overhone the razor again.
