Thanked: 443I'd hone past them so that they don't act as nuclie for new corrosion. Some of it may dig deeper into the blade and you won't know it's happening. Some of it may dig out toward your edge and require you to take care of it anyway. If you have a bunch of blades in rotation and don't see the pitted one every day, then definitely take care of it now.

Thanked: 3215Nope, honed a Hammered tang, Barbers Pride that had some rust on the bevel. Honed out most of it but one small pit is on the very begining of the bevel, about a 1/16 in. from the edge. It will be many many years before I ever wear away enough steel to get close to that pit. It is the only one.
