    Default 1st touch up

I finished my first touch up on a razor that wasn't shaving well. Is everybody done rolling their eyes? I did about 15 laps on my Naniwa 12000, 10 on Chromium Oxide, 50 on fabric webbing and 100 on leather. 1st shave sort of harsh (maybe) but the 2nd was great! Thanks gssixgun for the videos you made, helped a lot.

I know I'm going to be an "End User". Here is my plan: A razor gets 5 laps on Chromium Oxide after every 7 shaves. After 4 trips to the Chromium Oxide it will go to the Naniwa 12000. This will repeat until the Naniwa 12000 doesn't help and then I'll use a Naniwa 10000. I think I can keep a razor going for years this way with out it being sent out to a pro. Am I right? Thanks for the help

if the green paste stops "working" on your edge..you will need to rehone it..pastes only last so long til you gotta put it on a stone again
if you have a Naniwa 1k..after that you need a 4k/8k..then youre good to go on a set

As long as nothing dings or chips the edge this plan should work very well for you. We on here sometimes get a little hone happy as it is apart of this hobby that many enjoy. With your set up you may never have to send it out.

Do you think you can tell the difference between the 10K and 12K stone, after a few laps over CrOxide? My bet:

    . . . No.

But I think you'll be fine with either one. The trick is to keep the razor's edge away from faucets, etc.

    . . . . . Mindful shaving, for a better world.
