After viewing posts regarding honing stroke choices, I decided to list a few of my favorites in the interest of furthering the knowledge base here;

One stroke I go to is what I like to call the Caliph stroke; Good on stubborn or cheap blades and for those pesky uneven spines;

Another is the Noisy Cricket, again for stubborn edges, uneven spines, and slight smiles. Makes a pleasant chirping sound if done correctly, hence the name.

The third is what I like to call the Moonwalk, for no other reason than it reminds me of Michael Jackson. Its probably good for something, depending on what direction you start from.

So circles schmirkles... why not try something new with your edges? Your next sliky smooth edge may be just around the corner.
