Thread: Need my first razor honed - Canadian eh?

Hello everyone - first post here.

I just acquired my first str8, a Hess #1, in a trade and need to get it expertly honed. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and did a search but did not find anyone mentioned in this neck of the woods. the only post I found mentioned that the fairer gender may not be so fair in this region - I disagree and I have lived in Toronto and Montreal, my wife also disagrees - but that is completely .

Question 1: Anybody happen to know of anyone in Ottawa that will hone a razor and perhaps even let me learn off of them?

Question 2: If not local, then in Canada? Shipping might be easier.

Question 3: Am I permitted to ask this many questions in one post?

Question 4: If it is kosher to ask - does anyone offer this service on these boards for members?

Shipping to the US is also fairly reasonable (as low as $3) so it's not too bad if you contacted Lynn (adjustme69) or Joe (Joe Chandler). They offer that service and do a bang-up good job. If you go REALLY wild on the blade and it needs to be re-ground, Joe offers that service as well (extra charge, but reasonable).
