    Bravo Adam!

Is that a great feeling or what? So... what to expect next?

As I was told: if you think Rad is bad, wait 'til Had hits.

Congrats on your first edge. May they improve from here, and be a boatload of fun getting there.

Excellent, well done! The Norton 4/8 is really all you need. Have you seen the JANorton thread? I also have a Shapton 16k I use for touch ups. Advantage is no need to soak and 10 laps is all it takes. I have no reason to buy any other hones than the Norton 4/8 and the Shapton. I always test on leg hair as I have very little arm hair. In fact, using my eyes to check out the bevel, my eyes to check out the wave of water being pushed by the edge as it moves across the hone, and 'popping' leg hairs is pretty much the only tests I do; oh, and the thumb pad test (TPT) but never the thumb nail test (TNT) any more...

Might have an afternoon honing today, in fact
