The pyramid method
I just recently began honing and got to where I could really put some decent edges on my ebay razors. So I thought. I would set the bevel using circles and then progress with 10 or 12 x strokes through the rest of my stones and then move to a pasted balsa then chromium oxide and then a final stropping. Today I was having trouble with one of my blades and was farting around on here and came across the pyramid tutorial. Man did it make a difference. Now all my razors are popping hairs mid way off my arm like crazy. Thank you guys for all this awesome info on this site!!

The pyramid method is a perfect example of that saying, how does it go? " While your busy arguing about how impossible something is, someone, somewhere is busy doing it."
Just remember that there will be 20 people professing how it doesn't make sense to them (and therefore is illogical and inefficient).
