Thread: A Christmas Story

For Christmas my wife gave me a set of Japanese ceramic stones. 1000, 3000, 6000, 8000, and 12000. I have also put a leather stropping block together with green rouge on it and a clean leather block. I've watched multiple youtube videos and read as much as I can about the sharpening process, but really, what I would like, would be if there was someone in the Portland Oregon, Vancouver Washington area that might be able to sit down with me some weekend day and show me how it's done. I'd be honored to pop for lunch or something. I found a small catch of straight edge razors at a yard sale last year to practice on in a variety of conditions... Twelve in total, plus one with no handle.

Any help would be appreciated!
