What is the advantage of a DMT over a Norton lapping stone?

I like to use my DMT325's for lots of things. I have found as they are not as effective and are getting worn, they make wonderful lapping tools for my hones. I like the smoother result of lapping with a worn one. JMO

Thanked: 37Gentlemen, thank you all very much, this has been a great thread for me I just made the decision to buy the 325 for my set of hones.

I couldn't get results with the Norton Leveling stone (on Norton stones). Lapped forever, per Glen's videos, and just got frustrated.
I got a DMT and it gets the job done nicely. Plus all that other stuff it'll do.
