Thanked: 5It might just be unable to take an edge, a while ago someone bought me an imperial-uk razor as a gift, at this time I was using a shavette had no straights and didn't send it off to get honed so I don't know if a honemeister could put an edge on it. When I got into honing and could put a decent edge on my razors I went back to this imperial-uk razor to see if it could be usable and it just couldn't take an edge keen enough to shave with. So like the imperial razor this empire blade unfortunately may be just another razor shaped object.
Hopefully though you don't have the same case as me, and the razor can actually be used. Try sending it off to Steve from the invisible edge, I recently bought a razor from him and he can put a flawless edge on the razor. Alternatively you could send it over seas to Lynn, sounds like he does magic with the blade, can't attest to his edges myself but I've read of many others singing his praises.Last edited by chris0194; 01-22-2013 at 04:33 PM.

Thanked: 5Just saw the pic, and that looks identical to the imperial razor I mentioned, just saying empire instead of imperial

I feel bad for you but at least now you can blame the razor (wish I could do that sometimes).
I'm sure you will get an excellent razor to play around with soon, keep it up!
