    One of the problems I have with used razors is imitating the stroke of the previous owner. As people we are not machines and have less than "perfect" strokes. Over time we create wear that is far from perfect but very serviceable. Over time the razor matches the owner/honer. If I buy a well used blade and try to force my idea of perfect on it the results will be bad. If I learn on and can sharpen a used blade with previous imperfect technique I teach myself bad habits.

    I hope this makes sense.

    If your talking about spine damage, yes I do. If the spine is just scratched, I sand it down, if I can & automatically reset the bevel.
