Local Honing in Montreal Canada
Hello,
I am looking for someone who could hone my razor in the Montreal area.
I know that forum member floppyshoes is in the Montreal area, however it seems that he's been inactive on this forum for a long time, I tried to PM him but no answer.
Does anyone know anyone in Montreal?
Any help is much appreciated.

Thanked: 3228Wish I could help. I would have thought there would be a few people in Montreal considering the size of the place. Really surprised.

i have been looking for a while too, i bought a 4k/8k stone and tried it myself but the result was not so good so i sent my dovo to Phil at Classicedge and he did a very good job, but i also would like someone in the area who can do it or even better, teach me how to hone properly. So far i did not find anyone.

I am also planning on learning to hone. Where did you buy the 4k/8k stone from?

I got my 4k/8k from Lee Valley but I don't think they have a Montreal Store. While I'm sure *someone* in Mtl must carry it, but if you can't find it, you can always order from Leee Valley online: Lee Valley Tools
I don't know of a Montreal honer, but there was a meetup there back in Oct. I wasn't able to go, but maybe someone on this thread would be able to point you in the right direction: http://straightrazorpalace.com/get-t...c-meeting.html
Good luck!
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
