Default The best 30 minutes I have spent!

    Just watched this: :
gssixgun Straight Razor Honing with speedster from SRP - YouTube

I picked up SO MANY tips from this it is unbelievable!

I just got done honing a razor and did a shave.
    1.) BBS
2.) SHARPEST blade I have now. (it is like a friggin shavette)
    3.) SMOOTHEST shave
4.) This blade now shows EVERY flaw in my technique. (I NEED TO LIGHTEN UP. Thought I was going light)
5.) This sucker WILL BITE YOU!

Thank You for this video, anyone who is new to honing... this is a MUST watch!

You are right on, I started watching it last night and only got about 7 minutes into it but I'll be watching the whole thing(people on this site of the likes of Glen and Lynn and so on are fabulous, not only do they take pride in their craft but they go out of their way to help those of us that are still in the beginning stages of this sport). Its amazing all the little things that we overlook as we are learning. I cant wait to follow their examples and do it RIGHT.
    respectfully,
    Christian

Glad you enjoyed it, Mark and I had a blast that day, I have always thought this Vid and the Kamisori Honing vid I made all in English, without using any Japanese terms, were the two most imformative I have managed to produce...
