Thanked: 2Hypnotic
Anybody else find themselves becoming drowsy and very very relaxed when honing and stropping? I find myself concentrating intently, and then suddenly feeling like I'm nodding off. Weird right? Is it just me?

You'll stop nodding off the first time you nick that strop real good
Yes, it can be relaxing.

Thanked: 247Honing takes my thoughts away and relaxes me.
Stropping seems to do the opposite. I find my teeth rising up to chew on my lip as I strop...I wouldn't call it "nervous" but it is far from relaxed.
It's weird, really...but then again, most of the stuff we discuss in depth here probably seems weird to a lot of people

Thanked: 2You know it seems like right when I get in that zone, the rhythm is right the hone is right, just when you should be taking it all in, BAM! Mind goes blank sleep sets in.
