    Default pyramid and other styles

I started out using the pyramid and have stuck to it and just added a finishing stone at the end.. the pyramid is a system that works.. I learned how to set my bevel on a 1 k, understand the TNT and magic marker.. then I move to the 4/8 pyramid. any other system out there I can try or follow.. my problem is if I step away from the pyramid.. how do u know when its time to move up a stone?? Or maybe could explain Lynn's circle method and if I could use that style on the 1/4/8 and then x on 12 k.. the pyramid allows me to follow numbers can I follow numbers doing circles followed by x strokes??

The Pyramid method is a great system for those learning to hone because it eliminates the need to know when to move from stone to stone. Eventually, as you experiment, you will develop a feel, something very hard to describe or dictate, that tells you when it is time to go to a different stone. Until that time, the Pyramid method works just fine.
