    Default Stropping progression

Hi all, I have a stupid newbie question, when using pastes what comes first crox, diamond, scrub leather/linen, leather or diamond spray, crox, linen, leather?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Usually anything abrasive goes first, then non-abrasive. So I'd go with the second one. I'm assuming this is to touch up the edge right? I'd just use leather for everyday stropping.

Oh hang on - what micron is the diamond spray?

Go in increasing order of fineness. If your diamond spray is 0.25 micron, it would go after CrOx. So it would go CrOx (0.5 micron), diamond (0.25 micron), linen, leather.

Sorry about that - didn't read your post properly. Make sure you clean the razor carefully between pastes so as not to contaminate the next surface.

The diamond spray is .5 micron. Should I still use the crox first?

Diamond is quite aggressive and some find it gives a little to harsh edge.
So even with diamond spray as fine as .1 the edge can get nicer if you do some light stropping on crox after that, even tho the crox is .5.
I think you'll do best to try it and see what you like.
