this is what I picked up good for our hobby or no? I guess it will show me chips and problems in the edge but right now I'm trying to educate myself on what I'm looking at http://www.widgetsupply.com/product/BCX46.html

Thanked: 3164I use a Belomo 10x triplet for much the same reason as Glen. The 10x has a nice wide triplet lens that lets more light through than higher magnifications. It's an excellent brand - as good as if not better than the B&L, and cheaper when I bought mine, too.

+1 on the Belomo loupes I use their 15x and have found it to be excellent.

Swiss Axe : Triplet Hawk
