Touch-ups
If you guys we're going to touch-up your blades and you had a choice between crox, diamond, a 12k naniwa, a barbers hone, or two guesstimated grit naturals- a jnat and a Zulu grey- what would you use? I believe it is time for me to do some work on my razors which one would you guys prefer if you were me?
Thanks in advance for any responses!

I love the smooth edge you can get from a good natural. But I don't have any of the particular stones you are considering to compare. Any of the hones should do just fine, the pastes while they do the job wont do both touch-ups and honing.

Thanked: 4249Personally i would start with the Crox, if that doesnt do it, then i would use the hone of your choice. You can maintain a razor with paste for a very very long time.

I would touchup with 8 to 10 strokes on the 12k or 25 strokes on the Zulu, strop & test with shave.

First, I have a borrowed Zulu & only finished 6 razors with it, 3 were from bevel set & 3 were touchup in my rotation. I did not slurry the touchups, water only, beautiful shaves on all 3 razors.
