It could not take the warp out, but made all the other stones easier to use. This particular one now wears the finest edge it's ever had. HHT was lopping 1.5" from point of hold on a thick (.0033" avg) hair. The test will be in a while. My only concern is - is it too sharp - will the edge hold through a full shave. Over honing is quite rare, but I've done it before. First strokes are out of this world, then it goes downhill throughout the shave, having been made too frail to withstand normal use.
I actually killed the bevel on there and I redid the whole thing last night took me about an hour but I got a nice clean edge off it! I am pleased with the way my honing progression is going each one gets better and better. I shave with a red imp last night that I honed up myself and it was the best shave I've had in a long time.

When I get a blade with an uneven bevel, or incomplete, I usually got to 600 dmt for a little, dull on glass and finish the bevel with a dmt 1200. I know it removes a bit of metal, but its the last time you will have to do it. Slightly dull on the side of the 4k, and 50 circles, 50 laps, 50 x strokes to remove the scratches. Another set of 20 and then the 8k. Usually 20 circles, 20 laps and 20 x strokes. Lately I always finish on 1 micron film 40 laps, crox and leather. Sub micron film edges are too frail and not worth it IMO.
