I actually killed the bevel on there and I redid the whole thing last night took me about an hour but I got a nice clean edge off it! I am pleased with the way my honing progression is going each one gets better and better. I shave with a red imp last night that I honed up myself and it was the best shave I've had in a long time.

Thanked: 177When I get a blade with an uneven bevel, or incomplete, I usually got to 600 dmt for a little, dull on glass and finish the bevel with a dmt 1200. I know it removes a bit of metal, but its the last time you will have to do it. Slightly dull on the side of the 4k, and 50 circles, 50 laps, 50 x strokes to remove the scratches. Another set of 20 and then the 8k. Usually 20 circles, 20 laps and 20 x strokes. Lately I always finish on 1 micron film 40 laps, crox and leather. Sub micron film edges are too frail and not worth it IMO.
