    Default Lightbulb

So I think the lightbulb came on for me tonight. I am nowhere near a proficient level but I think I have figured out a lot in one night. Suitable bevel, how much pressure is "with pressure" vise without, and even rolling x strokes. I honed 3 in the time it has been taking me to do one. Great feeling.

I think I'm still screwing mine in... All I get is a flicker here and there.

The good news is I have definitely held to the practice of walking away when I can't get a blade honed up. Glen's enlightening statement of "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast" just starts repeating in my head like a mantra.

I think I read every word Glen has said here before I even dared put a razor to a rock. I feel like I need to go back and thank him for all his posts!
