Luis,
Please take him up on his generous offer! Hands on learning is something that just can’t be taught in words or videos!!!
I speak from experience! The time spent with Glen (GSSIXGUN) at the Spokane meet was wonderful!!!
Set a date, make the drive and enjoy lessons! You will NOT regret it!!
You will learn more in the few hours than you can by reading and watching for months on end!!

Hey Michael
Thanks again for getting together with me yesterday. The razor you honed practically shaved me by itself. You did an amazing job. Also, I really enjoyed the hands on honing practice and the immediate feedback. Again, your patience and support has been invaluable in my journey into straight razor shaving.

While I've never met Michael, I thank him for taking the time to help you!!
:
I always advise those that are new or even veterens to this Art of using a straight razor to seek out Hands On help!
I'm sure that you learned more in that short period of time than you would have in months reading and watching videos!!!
I'm very happy for you! Once you are more experienced, do what Michael did for you; pass the knowledge along!

Luis, it was my pleasure. And reading your post is truly my reward.
To others reading this thread I just want to say that Luis is a great guy and a credit to this forum. He has a lot of natural skill, already excels at shaving; and with a little instruction is really going to learn how to hone his own razors. Plus he couldn't be any nicer.
I think meetings like this really add a lot to the forum. I encouraged Luis to post about our meetup so that others can see what a positive experience it is.
Thanks to all for the positive feedback.

Hi Cudarunner
Absolutely, I look forward to that day. I have to say that I feel like I have been fortunate to have such a willing mentor. In such a short period of time I have been exposed to so much. Michael also gave me very positive feedback on my technique. I feel excited and energized. You should drop Michael a line and introduce yourself to him. He is a very cool dude and someone definitely worth knowing.

I truly wish that we weren't basically oceans apart as I'm in the Pacific NW! I'd like to meet you and Michael!
I believe that Michael has been to you what Glen (GSSIXGUN) has been to me. The single afternoon I spent just watching and observing him do his 'magic' taught me so much!
Enjoy the Ride! It's really a much better new/old way of shaving!
