Great Idea for a Honing Video
Hey all....
This idea popped into my head while reading one of the honing threads...
Since razors are so small, it's really difficult to capture the fine subtleties of honing on video, so why not make a video of honing with a razor like 10 times bigger?
I'm sure that for someone it would be pretty easy to craft up a larger model of a razor and a hone that could be easily used to demonstrate some of the finer do's and don'ts of honing.
Anyway, just tossing ideas around...and I won't even charge any royalties if anyone actually puts this into practice!

Using a large blade would mess up the mechanics of the honing process. Zooming 10x on the blade and the fingers holding it would be a better idea IMO.

I think the main problem with this idea is the blockbuster-size budget you'd need to buy an 8-foot by 3-foot Belgian coticule for finishing.
