Cracked blade.
I was given this by my mother who found it at an antique shop for 20 dollars. Upon inspection I noticed a fair size crack in the blade. I decided that this would be a fine blade for my first experiment into restoration, to see if it is something I'll invest more time and money into. I still have more to go with it (finer grit sand paper, finish scales and repin) but after cleaning it up I figured I would get a second opinion about the crack. Unfortunately I don't have a magnifying class, but hopefully the pictures are clear enough. I'm curious if my original assumption that the crack is too big to restore the blade to a shaveable condition. I don't personally hone or set bevels nor do I plan for a little while. But figured I would see if anyone here thinks a professional could restore it.

Thanks Jimmy. For now it will be used as a practice razor on the art of restoration. And thanks glen for the link.
