The Uk is about a stones throw from Ireland so you have plenty of people basically next door cheap postage lots of people who offer straight razor services.

    Hi Bodysuit,
I've used Celticcrusaders honing skilled in the past when starting off and fully recommend sending off your razor to him when stropping fails to work. Here what I've purchased so far,

    1. Poor Man Strop kit from Larry at WhippedDog cost 30 euros.
    2. Naniwa Specialty Stone and Naniwa stone holder from Knivesandtools.com cost 106.00 euros.
    3. Atoma 400 lapping plate from Japan Rare-Mono Market on Amazon cost 80 euros.
    4. In the process of picking up a USB microscope or a good loupe.

Here's two videos that are must see for new guys like me.

Thanks folks for your replies. I've decided to get my razor Honed the 1st time by Fergiebilly and slowly collect the stones so in time I'll give it a go. I've looked at knives n tools and they're good. My shaves are improving daily, stropping is flowing now. Thanks all for your posts and help. Keep her lit. Kieran
