Shipping a Straight to Japan
Hi all,
First post ever here, but I've been over on B&B for a couple of months now.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not it is possible to have a straight shipped to Japan. I am worried about customs confiscating it as a weapon or something.
Has anyone heard anything about this, or had a problem before?
Thanks!

I get them shipped to me all the time, as do many others here in the land of the rising sun. There have never been any hold ups.

Thanks for the info! Are you careful about what is written on the customs form regarding the package contents? In other words, is it better to have the contents listed as something general like "shaving supplies" rather than "straight razor", or do you not think it matters?
Thanks again!

Japan is great . You will have delays only if mail is registered mail . Takes months .
Regular or usps priority just fine

Welcome to the best straight razor forum in the universe !
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 326Welcome aboard mate!
I don't know how long it is to ship there but having received 2 packages from there via EMS takes 4-5 days.
Seth, JimR and OLD_SCHOOL are locals and they're great guys to talk to.
How long does it take for you guys to get something from US?

I've never had a package take longer than 3 weeks (and even then, only two), and had some in 6 days. I got a package from Turkey in 4 days, once.
Sham, I've never had a registered package take longer than any other. In fact, generally they come faster...

Thank you all so much for your help!
I feel much better about potentially ordering a straight online.
If I do buy one, this will be my first ever straight!!!
Thanks again!
