Default Bringing stright razor to Japan?

I will be traveling to Japan this summer for work. Are there any concerns with bringing a couple straight razors (checked luggage, not carry on). Will customs have any issues with them?

I read everything the Japanese customs website has, and, as expected, didn't see any reason to worry. But I don't want them to call them weapons and confiscate them either.

    Thanks!
    Rob

    Rob,

When and where are you travelling? I'll be visiting my in-laws in Gunma-kin during the first two weeks of June. We will be travelling to Tokyo some as well. I've traveled over with a straight before and had no problem. I would imagine I'll do so this trip as well!

I will be arriving in Tokyo mid July, should be there for just over a month total.

You will not have any problems. I traveled into and out of NRT numerous times with my straights in my luggage. Never had a problem. Safe travels. Have some Coco's Curry for me, and a Georgia coffee or two.
