    Default Japanese Character request.

    Hello.

I know this is slightly off topic but I am hoping to utilize your local knowledge.

I wonder if there is anyone out there who would be kind enough to provide me a translation in Katana, Hiragana & Kanji for the names of persons in my family. I would like them for a display to be hung on a wall at home.

If anyone is able to do this send me a PM & I will send you the names to be translated.

    Kind Regards

    David.

I am a professional tattoo artist and get requests for Anglo names in kanji frequently. The way I understand it is the translation is phonetic. There are websites that offer the service if you google something like 'names in kanji'.

I'm sure the converse is true.
I would check and double check the sign before you invite the native speakers to your house.
My friend has one on his shoulder that apparently cannot be shown to the ladies without being slapped.
All he ever wanted to do was get his name tattooed with Asian calligraphy....

Now that's funny right there. $7.99 a pound for fresh crap!? Hell, if I'd just get up in the morning, eat some oatmeal and have two cups of Cuban coffee, I could make at least $45 a day. I may have a new retirement plan.
