Honing help/services

Myself and Tokumei are both Japan based members, and we're trying to find out if there are any honing services in Japan anyone could recommend, or if there is someone who could help guide us through getting started with honing?

I have a sight unseen razor from Whipped Dog on the way so I will at least have something shave ready to compare my own work to!

There are members in Japan. I don't know if they offer services, or might be able to point you in the right direction. You might start by sending a PM to member 'Zethlent' (Tokyo).

Look at it this way, if you dont ask, how shall you receive? Extend the hand of friendship, what will it cost? What can be gained? There is nothing wrong with you asking for a little help or direction, this is the whole premise of SRP. You hurt both of us, you who need the help and those of us here expressly to provide the help. You may find out that there is more help than you can believe, most of us are chomping at the bit, so to speak, wanting to help.
