Default Strange Henckels Cutlery - Anyone Identify?

Can you please tell me the intended purpose of the Henckels Friodur #53 3 1/2*. I have had it for years but never was certain about the reason for th design. When purchased I assumed it was for cutting cheese but it seems not so great for that purpose. Is there something else? It is too good to throw away but too weird to figure out.

I'm thinking it's a form of julienne knife. Interesting!

It is for making fancy garnishes. Flowers from veggies etc.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

    Pickle slicer :<0)

It definitely looks like a decorating knife.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Try julienning the handle until the blade cools off.

Thanks for the carrot/cuke and julienne suggestions - sure didn't work as a cheese slicer. Seems obvious now. I guess I will toss the Cuisinart and the Kitchenaid processors.
