General purpose knives of my youth. They were available, cheaply, everywhere after WWII and Korea; we used the heck out of them. Every tackle box, tool box, work shop, and trunk had at least one or more.
Cast metal grips were preferred!

I had a few of those leftovers in 79,, I actually preferred them over the MRE's that first came out,,,, I loved that "pound cake" you guys had,,,
