    Default Henckels 102-11

Well I first fell down the rabbit hole of RAD a few months ago, and now I find that I desperately need to replace my cheap 8" no name chef knife that holds an average edge at best with this old beast:

Vintage J A Henckels Twin Works Solingen Germany 11" Chef's Kitchen Knife | eBay

Can't wait to hone it up and start chopping vegetables for Sunday dinner!!

Nice, although I have found that for me, I have found a standard 8 inch blade a bit more comfortable for me to handle. Nice score though. I never thought to look on ebay for vintage knives.

Thanks. It's amazing what you can find on a day off of work!!

Truth be told this will be the largest knife in my kitchen. Will see how it goes and worst case scenario it's back on the Bay.

At that price how could you go wrong. I would hate for my wife to find out how much I paid for my Henckels knives.

LOL!! Same here with my razors! She thinks I'm crazy anyway so what the hell...

I'm hoping it takes a nice edge--and by that I mean I hope I can do it fair justice by my amateurish honing.
