    I actually have four, but only have a picture of these three.

    Those are great Mick, perfect for camping and backpacking.
    Better than a hatchet for woodcutting, butchering small game and
    introducing young ones to woodcraft/camp chores.
    Is that top blade a BSI ?

    The top one is the same model that was used in WWI and II by the Gurkha. The middle one is the standard military dress issue for todays Gurkha. The bottom one is just what you'd find used in many households in Nepal. The one not pictured is similar to, but just a cheap copy of the top one pictured. Cheap or not though, it is still a fearsome hacking tool.

    Here is a good intro to the evolution of the kukri....it's very recent too, which is a plus.

    It says Windlass on the left side of the blade near the handle, but you need a 5x manifier to see it.
    I don't know what Windlass even means,,
