If you get one of the textured finishes, I like the destressed look, that is not a problem. Some of the high gloss finishes might be slippery.
They do hold up to water, but if water is sitting on it for a while that may be an issue. The other good thing is, it is easily repaired, if you save some extra pieces so the color matches.
My son did scratch his floor, when moving the fridge back in place, the flooring guy fixed it by replacing the scared pieces in a few minutes.JimmyHAD likes this.

My Cane Corso absalutly trashed myoak hardwood floor in my old house. I was almost embarrassed to sell my house it was so bad. My new house has some very nice laminate on the main floor, and I was very happy it was there.
Now on the other hand, I finished my basement in the old house and by the time I got to buying the flooring I was almost out of $$$. So I bought .99 cent a square foot laminate..... Big, big mistake. First glass of water my daughter spilled made it mushroom soooo bad.
Lesson learned.
