    Default Hand saws

I posted the following in another thread and will repeat it here.

"I love seeing these handsaws. I just got a few in my Great grandfathers tool box. Should we start a thread under Sharp Things?"

No pictures from me at the moment but if I don't start now.....

That depends on how sharp your saw is. Maybe your saw is a dull saw, then you need to start a thread under " Dull Knives & Saws".

Lots of information to be found on the net, including youtube videos. Library might have some older books... When it comes to hand tool wood working, my favorite book is "The Seven Essentials of Woodworking" by Anthony Guidice. No, it's not a huge book with minute details about everything, but rather "Just the facts, Ma'am".

If you want it right now, this page appears to have most, if not all the information you need to sharpen a handsaw: Welcome to Vintage Saw's Saw Filing Treatise
