    Default Does anyone have vintage Case knife newspaper ads?

    Hello all.
    Would anyone happen to have any old knife ads from newspapers and magazines for W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery? I would really like some pre 1950s stuff, but anything "vintage" would be fine. Having to move to the half bath for all my grooming/hygiene needs except for showers (full bath looks like someone put a grenade in a box with my wife's stuff), I decided to make it look less plain and boring. Will paint the walls darker than their current ugly tannish white. Dimmer lights. Shadowboxes for some of my older display razors. Maybe a whiskey bottle soap dispenser. And so on.

    I thought some old ads for Case knives would be kind of cool, as they were a big part of the knife lore surrounding my childhood. Also, I thought it would be a nice treat for the many people in my family who have an even deeper rooted history with Case XX knives than I do (think that one old uncle who says you wasted money on that Spider whatever knife when you should've bought a Case XX or an Old Timer). Some old sharpening stone ads would be appreciated as well.

    I am by no means asking for your keepsakes. Rather, a nice high resolution picture of the ad that I can print off and hang up. I can credit the picture being yours with a little plaque thing if you'd like. You can PM me with the picture, post it here in this thread, or some other method that works too. Also, if this is something you'd only do for a little palm greasing, we can discuss that as well.

    Thanks in advance to anyone who might consider helping me out.

    Regards,

    Brandon Rogers

    I don't have any ads, but older books like Dewey Ferguson's 'The Romance Of Collecting Case Knives' has cool photos, and catalog page copies. Here is some eye candy for you;

    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
