Spanish Notch bowie
This is the latest knife to roll of my bench,This beautiful one off bowie knife has a 9 inch blade of forged O1 tool steel with hammer marks left in the brute de forge style with the bevels mirror polished. The swedge is left unsharpened except for the tip. This bowie sports a nice Spanish Notch. The full tang handle is finished out in desert ironwood and has copper pins and guard with a touch of file work as well as copper liners. The over all length is 13and 7/8 long and is 5/32 thick at the spine making it extremely fast. I did a sheath and frog in 8 oz vegetable tanned leather with a nice old school basket weave.

Thanked: 292I always wondered what folks in Alaska did on those long winter nights. I guess they turn out amazing works of art and craftsmanship. Great job on the blade, handle, and sheath. Just lovely.

Thanked: 228That is absolutely beautiful. In saying that, I would be scared to use it as I would not want to mess up its looks. Safe queen I guess. Love it though.
