Finished Keridashi for leatherwork!
Hey all!
Just finished making this keridashi from O1 steel.
its heat treated in water then parkerized (many know it as gun blueing) and honed!
yes it is 'shave ready' although that point may bite a bit.

hey bruno, I quenched in water because to my understanding it gives a harder edge but is highly likely of cracking the blade is most cases. However because this blade has a super hefty edge geometry I figured it wouldn't crack, and luckily I was right!

I have a novice question about the blade. What separates this blade from a skiving knife?
I have a small skiving knife that looks really similar.It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
