Thanked: 2209New design for a toggle/lockback pocket knife by Joe Calton.
Joe finally posted a video of his new pocketknife design and explains the design very well. I really like this design because I am partial to lockbacks. They feel much safer to me in operation. Joe explains his design very well.
I met Joe last Feb at our Texas Razor Meet. He is a very easy going guy who failed to mention that he is an ABS Mastersmith

Thanked: 2209Joe sent me a clarification today, here it is ......
"Thanks for the kind words randy! But im not an abs mastersmith, im an hepk mastersmith. The hepk or high endourance performance knife association was started by my friend and mentor ed fowler and is a great group of folks chasing performance in edged tools."Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

The Edgeco Tactical One-Hander works on similar principles, is readily available on Ebay for $35 or less and has been around since the early 1980s.

I love the principal of nothing being in the blade path since I'm kinda attached to my fingers.
Great design Joe!
Thanks for sharing Randy.
