Hocus Pocus Damascus paring knife in olivewood
This kitchen knife was from hocus pocus damascus aka shop floor surprise. I took 3 damascus offcuts, stacked them in a 3 layer construction, and forged a knife out of it. The blade is very thin. About 1/16". the resulting pattern was a surprise for me too
The handle is olivewood. The spacer between the bolster and handle is dyed resin. I love this design because there are no seams between the knife and the bolster, and the transition between the bolster and the handle is super smooth.
It's not perfect. I am still in the prototype phase for my process, figuring out the most efficient way to create a blade like this.
