Thanked: 8Knife Retirement
I think I must have been in about 4th grade when I saved up the $25.00 (which seemed like a small fortune at the time) to buy this knife blade. After what seemed like an eternity I filed out the antler to get the tang to sit just right. My dad helped with the assembly and with the sheath.
I've been deer hunting since I was 12 and have only missed two seasons when I was in grad school in New York. For 23 years this knife has been at my side. This year I decided to retire it from hunting but not from use. I wanted to make it to a quarter century, but knowing my luck I'd loose it in the woods at year 24 or 25.
There is no such thing a too much horsepower.
