Damascus kitchen knife with Narwhale handle
Most of what I do is razors, but from time to time I like making some high end kitchen knives.
This is one that I finished just yesterday, and which I think is the most beuatiful knife I've ever made.
The steel is a damascus I made myself with a LOT of intermediate steps and manipulations Basically I turned 3 pounds of steel into a half pound blade blank. The handle is Narwhal tusk which is the most beautiful handle material I've ever used.
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Hot damn that's beautiful O_o

You should see my storage cupboard. There's meteorite, Tamahagane from various smelters incl. Wayne Portratz, Wootz from Ric Furrer and Alfred Pendray, Damascus from a bunch of people, whole ingots, fossil bones, mammoth bark, narwhal, walrus, oosik, ....
