Why did you buy 3 nearly identical knives?
I mean I can understand buying 1 (you are going to use it, right?) but why not 3 different knives, on the assumption that different knives serve a different purpose.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 586I am guessing but I bet it was what some call the "puppy dog sale." Mark was there, fiddling around with the knives and his $900 windfall burning a hole in his pocket. The knives were like a litter of puppies, jumping, playing with him and licking his face right down to his soul. He just couldn't bear the thought of breaking up such cute little littermates so he said, "Will you take $900 for all three?" It's the same way with golden retrievers.

Actually I had been eyeing a few custom knives for the last 3 or 4 months, so when my mother gifted me a krugerrand I seized the opportunity to buy these knives which I preferred over the ones I was eyeing! Each was 250 plus tax so I couldn't pick up the fourth ( I could've but decided not to actually ) which was amboynia burl.
Bruno, one day I will show you my knife collection. I have many knives and try to buy an identical of each knife if possible, that way if I wan't to slip one in my pocket its twin will always remain mint and worth more!

This man Jeff Morgan is retired and makes knives as a hobby as I understand it from the little knife shop in Julian, which is why he sells his knives so cheap I believe. His work, compared to the same quality and sometimes lesser quality, sells for half the price, but to my mind they are worth twice as much!

Thanked: 953It means they are alien metal knives! Try visualizing a big green boxing glove next time you hold it, just to see if it's from the faroff planet OA. Hmmmm, I wonder if the fabled chronik was forged from an alien alloy - that would explain why it's so special.
But seriously, those look very cool.

I have been delinquent
Here are a couple more Jeff Morgan knives. He got tired of polishing steel and swore he would never do it again so now he dubs all his latest knives "Mountain Man Knives".
The fixed blade is 1095 steel and lignum vitae scales. the total length is 6 and a 1/2 inches. He calls it a broad end knife. I call it mine! The total length is 6 1/2 inches and it comes with the sheath. And yes, he did use a silver spoon to make the clip on the sheath. There is something of an artists touch to this knife but at the same time it is extremely user friendly.
The friction folder is 1085 steel. the scales are black paper micarta. Total length is 7 inches. I switch between one and the other for my EDC belt knife.
