Thanked: 586Oh boy are you asking for it. Everyone here has their preferred EDC and will gladly tell you about it.
I am with you on the plain edge.I agree with Bellypock on the Benchmade.
My EDC is the Benchmade Osborne 940: Product Details (Benchmade Knife Company - Premiere manufacturer of knives and rescue tools.)
You never have to pay MSRP for a production knife. There are great discount sites like Knives Discounted at Knife Center that carry everything.
Here's a previous discussion that you can look at for a while: http://straightrazorpalace.com/finer...edc-knife.htmlLast edited by icedog; 02-07-2009 at 12:44 PM.

I like a larger framed knife for my EDC it is still legal as far as blade but has a very nice sized handle, it is the SOG Trident Tanto blade very comfortable to hold and use. The one bonus is that it is a spring assisted blade action so it can open very quickley with one hand, and also very convinent for ambidextrous use.
I would agree with icedog look at knifecenter if you have never looked there you will be amazed.

I use a Benchmade Min Grip 556 also. Great Knife. I have a Kershaw Ken Onion Chive also, it is small but has a really cool assisted openig feature and it holds a great edge as well.

I'm very fond of Kershaw stuff too, but nothing serrated. CRKT make some great value stuff that you can get over if you lose it, but i'm guessing you're after something a bit more special.

I just treated myself to a little Boker Congress pattern pocketknife. I wanted a little "whittling" type knife and the 4 bladed Congress design seemed well suited. This is a knife I wanted since childhood. I got the tortoise pattern and with the old style Tree Brand logo on the blade instead of the newer frosted style. I paid $38 for it and am thrilled.
