I think it's more to do with the fact locking knives are more useful if you were going to start cutting throats.

It's not just us though, similar laws are being passed in the states as well. In fact, some of yours are even more restrictive than ours now.

We can still own some brilliant knives and I would love to see more people carrying them. Just simple single blade slipjoints. £10 and it would serve them for a life time.

Yes looks very effective, the real hand made layered steel is pretty expensive. Many makers use premade which does not take away from the visual effect at all.
