Default Short Sword Fathers Day Gift

Well.... ended this father’s day presenting my father with a custom short sword that I made for him. He asked me about swords a few years back and thought a short one might be better suited to my first attempt at "sword making" A bit eclectic in style and materials used. The blade is an old Nicholson file, the handle was made from a mid to late 1800's walnut rifle stock, the short strand of Para cord handle wrap was my wife’s late uncles who fought in WW2. Added a bit of pb ivory accent with brass pinning and a 1095 guard. There is a blade hamon there but not so pronounced. It was a good day and I'm pretty sure he loved it. Just thought I would share.

    Happy Fathers Day!

    Best Regards Ken

    Awesome Ken.

I'm sure he was both pleased and proud. A great gift is the one that gives pleasure to the spirit as well as the body.
