    Default Greeting From Prescott, Az

    Ladies and Gents,
my grandfather was a barber ( straight razor man) for well over 65 yrs, so perhaps my new addiction in partially genetic! I am a college professor, full time glassblower, and my wife and I own an antique store in Prescott. Other addictions include flyfishing , making spirits and now collecting and trying to do reasonable straight razor restorations for personal use. Thus far, I have set up a buffer bench (5 buffers) similar to that of gssixgun (thank you). And
have bought or acquired about 25 assorted "straights". Been working on the worst pieces first to establish the necessary skill. Currently working on a stained (no pits or rust) W&B that has a lot of wear so am taking is slow and easy? This site and related videos has been a tremendous source of information and I humbly thank all of the Pros and participants! BloodBath. (Aka : Jim

Welcome to SRP from Tucson. 25+ razors so far, well there goes a road trip to Prescott next weekend, you've probably already cleaned out your back yard, probably nothing left in the antique shops up there except razors that will never again see a hone nor whisker. Post some photos of your gear and set up, we love photos around here.

Welcome from a neighbor to the west. Love that part of the country you're in.
